Artificial Turf Installation in Orange County

Orange County yards take a beating from drought restrictions, hard clay soil, and full-sun exposure that browns a natural lawn faster than the sprinklers can catch up. Go Turf installs artificial turf throughout OC for homeowners and property managers who want the look of a healthy lawn without the water bill, the mowing, or the patching. Every install is owner-led from the on-site walk-through to the final inspection – no call centers, no commissioned sales reps, no brand pressure.

Installs start at $7.49 per square foot and most residential projects finish in one to three days. Every project carries a 3-year labor warranty plus the manufacturer’s warranty on the turf itself.

TRUF TYPES

Turf Types We Install

Go Turf is brand-agnostic. We match the product to how you’ll actually use the space, not to whatever has the highest margin. Our installs draw from Tiger Turf, Imperial Synthetic Turf, and Everlast lines.

Pet Turf

Antimicrobial, fast-draining backing engineered for dog yards. Pile heights and infill matched to traffic and number of dogs. See artificial grass for dogs for the full pet-specific spec.

Backyard and Front Yard Landscape Turf

Realistic pile heights from 1.25″ to 1.75″ with UV-stable fibers that hold color in OC’s full sun. See backyard artificial turf and front yard artificial turf for application-specific guidance.

Commercial Turf

Heavier face weight, ADA-compliant edge transitions, and phased installation planning for HOAs, office parks, retail, and hospitality. See commercial artificial grass.

Playground Turf

ASTM F1292 impact-attenuation rated. Cooler and softer underfoot than bark chips or rubber mats. See playground turf.

Sports and Recreation Turf

Sport-specific pile, infill, and shock-pad specs for residential and competitive surfaces. See sports turf and backyard putting greens for sport-specific installs.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

Our Installation Process

The same five-step process applies whether the project is a 400 sq ft side yard or a 5,000 sq ft full-property conversion. Quality is determined by the base prep more than the turf, so this is where we spend the time.

1.

Free on-site consultation

A Go Turf representative meets you on the property, measures the area, and talks through use case. Written estimate within 24 hours.

2.

Demo and grading

Existing sod, weeds, and surface materials are cleared to a depth that removes the full root zone. Sub-grade is graded for drainage at roughly 1% slope.

3.

Sub-base installation

3-4 inches of compacted crushed aggregate, lightly moistened and compacted in overlapping passes. Non-woven weed barrier installed on top with 6-inch overlaps at all seams.

4.

Turf install and seaming

Rolls positioned with consistent fiber direction. Edges cut from the back side along backing lines. Seams aligned blade-to-blade, taped, and adhered. Edges secured with perimeter fasteners.

5.

Infill and final walk-through

Infill spread in multiple passes with brushing between each. Surface drainage water-tested. Owner inspects the finished surface before final invoicing.

FAQS

Frequently asked questions

How Much Does Artificial Turf Installation Cost in Orange County?

Go Turf installs start at $7.49 per square foot, fully installed. A typical OC backyard at 500 to 1,200 sq ft runs $5,500 to $13,000, depending on turf grade, infill, and demo scope. For the full cost breakdown, see our artificial turf cost guide.

How Long Does Artificial Turf Last in OC's Climate?

Quality artificial turf installed on a properly built base lasts 15 to 20 years in Orange County. UV-stabilized fibers hold their color in full sun, and the base system – not the turf – typically determines whether you get the upper or lower end of that range.

How Long Does a Typical Installation Take?

Most residential OC projects finish in one to three days. A 400 to 600 sq ft backyard often wraps in a single day. A 2,000+ sq ft front-and-back project with hardscape integration runs two to three days. Your written estimate will include a project timeline.

Do You Offer a Warranty?

Every install is backed by a 3-year labor warranty plus the manufacturer’s warranty on the turf itself. Manufacturer warranties on premium products from Tiger Turf, Imperial Synthetic Turf, and Everlast are typically longer than the labor warranty.

What Brands of Turf Do You Install?

We install Tiger Turf, Imperial Synthetic Turf, and Everlast. Because we’re independent, we’re not locked into a single brand – our recommendation is based on how you’ll use the space, not on which line carries the highest margin for us. See our turf brands comparison for the full breakdown.

Can Artificial Turf Be Installed Over Existing Concrete or Pavers?

Yes – in most cases. Turf-over-concrete installs use a shock-pad layer between the concrete and the turf for drainage and underfoot feel. We’ll assess the existing surface during the on-site visit and quote either a turf-only install or, if needed, a demo-and-rebuild scope.
